Product Description

HS-THANE 6658 is a two pack, aliphatic acrylic polyurethane topcoat. The product has high solids content, high spread rate, excellent gloss and color retention and long-term recoatability.

Product Usage

It can be used as a high-performance topcoat, matched with most of Haishun’s epoxy coating systems, and used for new construction and maintenance coating of outdoor steel structure surfaces in moderate to strong corrosive atmospheres, such as bridges, petrochemicals, municipal engineering, electric power industry, ports Machinery and offshore installations, etc.

Surface Treatment

The surface to be coated should be clean, dry and free from contamination. Surface evaluation and cleaning should refer to ISO8504. The removal of oil and grease refers to SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.

Damaged Area Repair

Damaged areas must be sand washed to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007). Mechanical grinding to St3 (ISO 8501-1:2007) grade is permitted if localized areas cannot be blasted. After the surface treatment is completed, it is repaired according to the order of matching.

HS-THANE 6658 polyurethane topcoat should be applied to the metal surface according to the anti-corrosion package recommended by Haishun Technology. Before construction, ensure that the painted surface is dry and free of pollution, and must be applied within the specified recoating interval (refer to the relevant product manual).

Must be stored in accordance with national regulations. The product should be stored tightly in a dry, cool, well-ventilated warehouse, away from heat and fire. Excessive heat will shorten shelf life and may cause paint to gel inside the can. The above is the shortest shelf life, after which it must be tested to determine whether it can continue to be used.
